The Great 28 Birthday Recap!

I’ve decided I’m going to refer to this year of my life as “The Great 28″.  I feel like giving each number of your life a special meaning makes that year all the more memorable. 27 was my golden birthday, 26 was the year of changes, 25 was the halfway point, and now 28 has it’s place too. The day was wonderful, nothing crazy but just a sweet nice day.

I started the day (4 am, when Rish left for work) with presents.

Birthday Box O'Goodies

Got some flowers in the afternoon.

Birthday Flowers with a funny story

Funny story, so these two bouquets came separately and the cupcake ones came first and had a note from Rish, so I knew he had sent them. Then, about an hour later the roses came…with no name. I called everyone I knew but no one had sent them. I spent the whole day super confused, and a little worried until I finally talked to Rish (way later) and it turns out HE sent them. It never occurred to me that he would send two bouquets. Anyway, it ended up being ok and creepy secret admirer situation averted.

We went to Rishi made dinner reservations at Ellerbe’s, a Fort Worth restaurant that is famous for their Lamb (my favorite food). The Lamb was amazing, def one of the best I’ve ever had. The best part of dinner though, was that my in-laws had driven in from Tulsa to surprise me.

We stayed at the restaurant for a while, talking through dinner and came home for birthday cakes (plural), and wine.

Cupcake Moscato...now I have the best husband ever

Couldn't have left the slippers off for one pic?

Mother In Law

Father in Law

The rest of the evening was spent eating cake and catching up. A great start to the Great 28!
